Rita Ryan-Foreign Tax, Ethics, Rita is the CFO and Head of Madan + Associates Virtual Family Office Practice, focusing on tax, business, and wealth preservation planning for high-net-worth individuals and their families. Rita is an experienced Tax Attorney with over 15 years of experience advising clients on the tax aspects of cross-border business activities, structuring international investments, multi-jurisdictional estate planning, and the United States compliance obligations relating to these activities and investments for both entities and individuals. In addition to providing exceptional planning to her clients, Rita also works with other tax professionals as a trusted advisor to identify necessary reporting, advise on filings, or review work papers and forms to ensure accuracy in this evolving international compliance landscape. Prior to coming to Madan+, Rita launched and led Wolf & Co.’s International Tax Services Practice, where she focused on tax planning and compliance for international holdings of both entities and individuals. Before joining Wolf, Rita was in private practice as an Associate Attorney at the law firm of Vacovec, Mayotte & Singer, LLP, where she focused on international and domestic taxation, estate planning, and tax controversy.
Lawrence Pon - Representation,  Larry is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, Certified Financial Planner, Enrolled Agent, United States Tax Court Practitioner, and Accredited Estate Planner in Redwood Shores, CA. He has been in practice since 1986 and speaks regularly to tax professionals on the latest tax planning and preparation topics nationally. He also teaches Income Tax at College of San Mateo. Larry, received his BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

Brad Messner - Tax Planning, Brad is a seasoned professional in both the technology/cybersecurity domain and tax/accounting topics. He has spent over 25 years working with global security systems encrypting and locking down millions of records across dozens of countries. He is also the third-generation owner of Messner & Fox, LLC in Pennsylvania. He is currently a university professor dedicating his career to teaching security and data management to the future leaders of the business world as well as a nationally-recognized speaker. In July 2023, he was awarded Tax Professional of the Year by the National Association of Tax Professionals, out of a membership of over 24,000. He is also the recent recipient of a Department of Defense scholarship as he completed his PhD in Information Systems and Cybersecurity. Brad holds multiple industry certifications or licensures in both the tax/accounting industry as well as the security industry. His passion for security and love for the financial services industry drove him to launch Financial Guardians, LLC in 2023

NCSEA SEE Exam Prep 2025

The North Carolina Society of Enrolled Agents (NCSEA) is pleased to offer the only study course taught by Enrolled Agents (EA) in North Carolina to prepare you for the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE). Classes are now available Live Online so you may attend from your location. Instructors are knowledgeable NCSEA members who are EAs dedicated to helping participants pass the SEE. Students will receive live instruction, testing to ensure mastery over the materials, and continuous support and encouragement throughout the process.

Our Special Enrollment Examination (SEE) prep course is taught in 3 separate parts (Individuals; Businesses; and Representation, Practice, and Procedures) which correspond with the format of the exam required to become an Enrolled Agent. 

The SEE prep course utilizes Gleim EA Review materials. Gleim is one of the leading providers of study and reference materials for the accounting industry.
